A rare and desirable antique late 18th – early 19th century Ottoman Islamic circular brass Qibla compass indicator and sundial, which was used by the Muslim faithful to locate the Ka’aba in Mecca, with the sundial indicating the time for prayers (sholat).
The Qibla is made of brass and is a circular tablet in form with a suspension ring. The compass is engraved with toponyms in Arabic and symbols that are from the Greek Zodiac.Diameter of the item 17,2 cm,edge 2,2 cm.The needle is not fixed
